Agra to have five smart roads soon

The Agra Smart City Limited, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) set up to implement the Smart City project, has finalised five roads to be developed as smart roads of the city.

The proposal for comprehensive development of these roads include Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS), Smart City Surveillance System (SCSS), free Wi-Fi connectivity and modern Passenger Information System. A 1.5m broad strip on one side of each road will be developed as green belt. Besides these, the roads will be illuminated through LED lights. And will also have a two-metre broad footpath. Toilets of international standard and waste management system will also be established; the road will be equipped with smart biodegradable and non-biodegradable dustbins.
