Patna Traffic Police's new plan for better management of traffic

Patna Traffic Police have implemented a new plan for better management of traffic in Patna district. Under the plan, the district has been divided into 39 sectors with each sector having a separate in-charge who will report to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic. The Traffic Superintendent of Police (SP) will do the overall monitoring.

Every sector will have eight to 24 personnel. Six major works have been allotted to the sector in-charge: ensuring regular attendance of personnel, traffic regulation, quick response in case of accidents, imposing penalty for violation of traffic rules, cracking down on illegal parking of vehicles, and keeping roads free of encroachment.
