E-Autos to hit roads in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh
Vexed with the high pollution and traffic woes being caused by the diesel and petrol autorikshaws, the district administration in Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) has decided to relax registration norms for the auto drivers who will be shifted to e-auto.
After making a trial run, district collector expressed their satisfaction on the functioning of the vehicle and resolved to encourage the e-autos. The district administration have already imposed a ban on registration of diesel, petrol autos in the city and encourage the drivers to go for the e-autos. There are also plans to phase out the existing diesel, petrol autos slowly and introduce the e-autos.
Interestingly, the good transport mode e-auto cost just Rs 1.45 lakh. The e-auto is re-chargeable and economical.
